Marilyn Joyce Allison

Marilyn Joyce Udell was born July 13, 1940 to Lois and Gerald (Jerry) Udell in Chicago, Illinois where she was raised. Marilyn graduated college in 1962 from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's in Nursing. She relocated to Southern California upon graduation, with her parents quickly following to escape the cold Chicago winters. Marilyn began her nursing career in Orange County and quickly fell in love with California. On June 12, 1965 Marilyn married the love of her life, Jerome (Jerry) Allison at Broadway Baptist in Santa Ana. They had two daughters together, Beth Suzanne (1967) and Tracy Michelle (1969). 1972 saw them relocating to the Napa Valley where they would make their home and raise their daughters. In November 2004 Jerry passed and Marilyn moved back to Southern California (Yorba Linda) to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren, upon retirement.

Once back in Orange County her days were filled with watching whatever sports, dance or music groups her grandkids were involved in, school chapels, award assemblies, joining and leading ladies bible studies at her church, lunches and travels with friends and church on Sundays.

In November 2024 Marilyn was diagnosed with cancer, and although she underwent chemotherapy to control it, God called her home on Thursday July 17. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Jerry, daughter Beth, parents Lois and Jerry Udell, parents-in-law Lula and John Allison, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Fred Evans, brother-in-law George Bahr and is survived by her daughter Tracy Allison Crawford (Scott), Grandchildren Nicole and Ethan Crawford, sister Pamela Bahr, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear, loving friends.

She was loved beyond measure and will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life will be Friday August 8, 11am at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim (CCEA), Anaheim, CA with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to her longtime church, Calvary Chapel East Anaheim (CCEA).
