

Marjorie was born on June 28, 1928 in Santa Ana, California to parents Charles Augustine Kellett and Marie Elizabeth Eummelen. She passed away peacefully in Clearlake, California on September 18, 2023. She met her future husband Robert Gordon Jacobson at Santa Ana High School where they were both students. Robert served in the US Navy during World War II and when the war was over, he returned to his Marjorie in Santa Ana and the two were wed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
They built their home in Orange, California where they raised their three boys and became active members of Holy Family Catholic Church and School. Marjorie was often the volunteer school nurse. She was famous in her neighborhood for homemade candied popcorn balls that she prepared at Halloween to give out as treats, but it was many a parent that came over before Halloween to see if the popcorn balls were done yet. They lived there on Walnut Street for many years before moving to Clearlake after retirement.
Marjorie is preceded in death by husband Robert Gordon after more than 50 years of marriage and her son Robert Charles. She is survived by her children Christopher (Gayle) and Matthew (Cindy), as well as her daughter-in-law Diana (Robert), and twenty-two grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
