Martha Elba Guerrero was born on July 1,1950, in Purépero, Michoacán. She was one of ten children and always recounted loving memories of her youth in Mexico. At the age of 16, Martha moved to the US with her parents to help prepare her family for their transition into this new country. At the age of 18, she met the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Luis A. Guerrero. After a short courtship, Luis and Martha married on July 31, 1968 and began their adventure as a new family. With 4 energetic children in tow, she nurtured and built a loving home in Santa Ana where she lived for the remaining years of her life.
Raised as a devout Catholic, Martha loved Jesus Christ and celebrated HIM joyously. She had deep empathy for those in need and was always willing to donate to various charities and families. She cared deeply for her family, but was even more in love with her grandchildren. She quietly departed this life on Saturday, August 1, 2020, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home whom held her hand as her soul ascended into Heaven.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband and children: Yesenia, Luis F., Donaji, and Elizabeth; her son-in-laws, Brian, Randy, and Jorge; her grandchildren, Kaylene, Paco, Maxwell, Aaron, Adam, Joshua, Jocy, and Josiah; her siblings Chucho, Melchor, Gilberto, Guillermo, Vicky, Yolanda, Javier, Pedro; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
We will miss your light and laughter, Mami, but we will never forget your love. Rest in Peace, Chiquita.
