Mary Veone St. John, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was born on August 3, 1931, and passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, in Santa Ana, California, at the age of 95. She will be remembered with love by her family and all who knew her.
Veone is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Waldram (Virginia), and David Waldram (Connie); and by her six grandchildren, David Waldram, Jr. (Kendra), Joseph Waldram (Veronica), Samuel Waldram (Maribel), Matthew Waldram (Molly), Jennica Waldram, Frank Waldram, Cara Hassey (Mark) and Samuel Jinks (Allison).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. St. John, and her grandson, James Waldram.
Veone attended San Francisco State University and the University of Utah, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. After a brief time as a teacher, she worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service until she retired. She faithfully served in several callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Veone was a friend to all and beloved by those who knew her. She was a humble servant with a quick wit, leaving a lasting impression of kindness, faith, and warmth.
Her life was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and gratitude for her family.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on August 15, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 3401 Greenville, Santa Ana, California. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven, Santa Ana, California 92705. Flowers may be sent care of Fairhaven Memorial Park.
