

His journey began in San Juan de Los Guajes, a small town close to Guadalajara, Jalisco on September 29, 1935. It was in his hometown that he learned how to cultivate and continued until his teenage years. He later moved with his parents & siblings to Rosarito, Baja California where they owned a small tortilleria and carniceria store. After they sold the store, he worked as a bus boy at the Papillon & El Capri. Later he worked in the restaurant of the Hotel Rosarito with his father.
He married the Love of his Life, Celia Avalos on April 14, 1962 and became a widower in October of 2007. He migrated from Tijuana, Baja California in 1963 with his wife & oldest daughter. He was a farm worker after he migrated to the US and later became a truck driver in 1976 and retired in 1990. He worked for the same company all those years.
He enjoyed old Spanish movies with Jorge Negrete, Antonio Aguilar, Pedro Infante and Cantiflas. He also enjoyed comedy movies with Jim Carrey. His favorite music was waltz, Banda music, which consist of corridos & rancheras. He was a very conservative, old school type of man. Extremely modest, respectful and Humble. Devoted, Responsible and Loving father to 7 children, loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren and loving great grandfather to 6 great grandchildren. He was a Hard Working & Strong Man. He was very Strong Willed. Very Smart, he even taught himself English. He was our Superman.
He is survived by his 7 children, Irma, Jesus, Adriana, Laura, Jose, Lupita and one angel in Heaven, Margarita, 16 grandchildren, Juan Reyes, Jessica, Celia, Andrew, Deanna, Raimund, Juan Carlos, Melissa, Adriana, Arlyne, Alyssa, Daniel, Adrian, Isabelle, Brandon and Ivan and 6 great grandchildren Aaliyah, Sophia, Maya, Anthony, Papi Nathan and Luciano Miguel.
