Here with Mircea in California still remembering the good old times we had.

In over 33 years of knowing my father-in-law Mircea we created countless memories and unforgettable moments.  We clicked from the very beginning because I liked a lot his southern Romanian humor and his way of telling stories.  Pretty soon we became friends and "the in-law" relationship was secondary.
We travelled together to many places including Yosemite, Yellowstone and Mammoth Lakes to experience the nature in her splendor.  We covered California from San Francisco to San Diego with Santa Barbara and Solvang in between.  We've been to Las Vegas more than a handful and one time we saw the divine Celine Dion in concert.
Besides travelling, Mircea loved sports, especially basketball and tennis.
In 1994 the whole family went to Rose Bowl in Pasadena to see our Romanian team defeating mighty Argentina in the World Cup.
Mircea and I watched so many tennis matches together throughout the years, Federer being our favorite player.
He loved fishing and besides going different places with his "fishing buddies" we went with him also at different lakes or Huntington Beach pier.
I had many meaningful conversations with Mircea throughout the years and I always appreciated his advice, work ethic and his intense enthusiasm in any activity he was doing. 
Mircea was like my own dad and I will miss him deeply.

My father, Mircea, held many titles in his life from builder to entrepreneur to fisherman but his favorite role was being a father and thanking God every day for his family.   
Our connection with dad was profound.  He was our number one fan as we were his, and we have tremendous gratitude for his love, support an encouragement.  Dad was an eternal optimist, full of energy and zest for life, a transplant survivor that lived every day in pursuit of his dreams, and every day dreaming big.  He and mom made a formidable team setting a high bar, always encouraging us to pursue our dreams and trusted us to making the right choices, and we never wanted to disappoint them.  We were happy and privileged to witness their undying love story that lasted over 60 years.  Throughout their life, they offered support and help to whoever was in need being her extended family or strangers, friends or foes and loved to protect animals as they adopted many cats, their beloved dog Bella and more recently, Rexy, an emotional cute puppy.  
During the last few years, dad continued to be active, learning new languages, fishing, developing cooking recipes and drafting construction plans for friends and family.   
Our comfort is that dad is with the Lord, and we'll meet him again. 
Our dad was a friend and mentor, he will always live within us.
