Ona Mae Goss (Bone) was born on November 17th 1938 in Milburn Oklahoma . Ona was one of 7 children born to Frank Cleveland Bone and Sarah Melissa Stephens, both of whom preceded her in death. Ona would spend the next 80 years carving out a legacy of love, family and friendships until her passing on February 19th 2019.
On December 21st 1957 at the age of 19 Ona married her high school sweetheart William King Goss (deceased). The prom King to her Queen. They would be married until his passing on February 7th 2017. They moved to California in 1962, where they would plant deep roots that will be nourished for generations to come. Together they had four children: Terry Don Goss, Diane Sue Goss, Tammy Denise Foreman (deceased) and James Frank Goss. From those 4 children would come 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, with 3 more currently on the way.
Ona managed the books for Bill Goss Floor Covering for 35 years, and was a passionate homemaker. She woke up early every morning to make sure the house was tidy and her family was fed and ready to go for the day. She was also an avid and talented volleyball player, playing multiple times a week for over 50 years and claiming countless gold medals at the Senior Olympics.
Ona was a true southern woman. Tough as nails, straightforward and honest. She loved her family dearly and made a countless number of close and loyal friendships over the years. She was always happy to open her home to her family and friends and countless great memories were made there.
Ona Mae Goss is greatly loved and will be forever missed, but she lived a life worth living up until the day it ended, and in doing so her memory will undoubtedly live on through all those who knew her.
Ona will get everyone together at her home one last time on March 30th for a celebration of her life.
