It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Anthony Acosta, Jr., share his unexpected passing at the age of 29. He was born on July 11, 1991, in Fountain Valley, CA. He is survived by his son Damian Acosta, mother Julie Arellano, father Patrick Acosta, Sr., maternal grandmother Alice Arellano, older sister Angela Acosta Delgado and her husband Daniel Delgado, Sr., younger brothers, Richard Sapien, James Sapien, younger sister Raylene Sapien, fiancé Marlene Nava, niece Isabelle Delgado, nephew Daniel Delgado, Jr., many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
What he loved most was being a father to his son, Damian, and he would devote as much time with him as he could. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his favorite teams were the Lakers and Dodgers. Patrick was also known as “Dude” or “Lil’ Dude” as a form of affection by family. He could light up the room with his smile and his gentle, charming demeanor. He felt most accomplished when he was attending church at The Life Center and participated in serving on the media team and completing his educational and career goals. He also enjoyed being involved in community events and various outreaches such as the Peace and Unity March in Santa Ana, The Guzman Family Foundation, Thanksgiving food donations and toy give aways.
He is preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, Pete Acosta, Margaret Acosta and maternal grandfather, Adolph Arellano. Patrick will be missed by all those that loved him so much and we are so grateful to have had him here with us during his lifetime.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin, CA, on April 3, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary in Santa Ana at 2:00 pm., followed by a reception at The Elks Lodge in Garden Grove, CA.
