Rathany was born October 2, 1959 in Takeo, Cambodia to Rath Sambuo and Suntha Hing.
She graduated from Prea Mony Vong and received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix. Rathany married Kieng Yang on June 6, 1975 and together they had two sons, Nicholas and Steven. She worked as a supervisor in the semiconductor industry for over 20 years and enjoyed dancing and traveling.
Rathany is survived by her husband Kieng, sons Nicholas and Steven and her sister Rathana Hour. She will be greatly missed.
