Rex is survived by his two daughters and son in laws, Diane and Ed Loo of Post Falls ID., and Glinda and Rev. Rex was born February 9, 1927 in Jacksboro, TX.. He spent most of his younger life in OK. and TX. Where he eventually met and married his wife Dorothy. Upon his return from serving in the Army during WWII they married on May 7, 1948. They built a life together working side by side as butchers in the beginning and then in the late 1950’s he answered a call to the ministry. In January, 1962 he became a licensed minister for the United Pentecostal Church and began pastoring in Corona CA. in the 1970’s, where he dedicated the remainder of his life.
On Sunday mornings at around 10:15 he would arrive at church for Sunday morning services. On May 17, 2020 it was no different except instead of arriving at Apostolic Tabernacle for the morning service, he arrived to his Heavenly home, the place he has always longed to go. Instead of worshiping with us here he was shouting on the hills of glory with his wife. He had a favorite song called Above All Else I Must Be Saved and to his last breath at 10:15 on a Sunday morning he fulfilled that song.
Rev. Rex Denson will be laid to rest on May 26 at Fairhaven Memorial Park right above his wife Dorothy and beside his son Ron.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be a memorial celebration of life service sometime in the near future. The family has asked for no flowers to be sent until the time of the memorial service.
All cards can be sent to: Glinda Reynolds 3083 Pinehurst Drive Corona CA., 92881
