Robert E. Huntington passed away peacefully at his home in North Tustin on May 4, 2025. He was 88. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected oral surgeon, Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith.
Bob practiced oral surgery for over 40 years in Pomona, California. He served as President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, President of the Southern California Society of Oral Surgeons and was widely respected among his colleagues for his dedication, professionalism and friendship.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Virginia; his son, Robert M.; his daughter, Alisa; and his cherished grandchildren, Robert M. Jr., MacKenzie, Ariel, and Nolan.
A longtime and faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, Bob was a devout Christian and active in the church community for over 60 years. A proud alumnus of the USC School of Dentistry, he remained a loyal Trojan football fan throughout his life as a season ticket holder since 1974.
Bob enjoyed collecting classic cars, model trains, reading, boating, tennis, and connecting with people wherever he went. Above all, he was a dedicated father and “Papa,” whose kindness, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana. Date and time to be announced.
