Robert William Wright

Bob was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His favorite thing was spending time with family.

Bob believed in service to others. He was the Scoutmaster of his son’s troop and went on to work with youth in the Scouting program for over 25 years.

Bob was a volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank until an opportunity came to work full-time for the organization. He strongly believed in the mission of Second Harvest.

After Bob retired, he became a dedicated volunteer at the Anaheim United Methodist Church food pantry.

Bob loved baseball and had a goal to travel to all major league baseball stadiums; later, he combined his love of baseball and history to produce a Baseball History podcast with 429 episodes.

Bob leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Julia, children Robert (Isabel) and Cheryl (Alan), grandchildren Rachel (Peter), Andrew (Hannah), and Christina, and great-grandchildren Genevieve, Emerson, and Theodore.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Anaheim United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anaheim United Methodist Church food pantry.
