My Tio Roberto will never be forgotten. He was a good man who always took time to share Gods word with everyone.  

When I was a child I remember he would always treat me as if I was his own kid.  He would take me under his wing and teach me lessons that a father would teach his own son. Growing up with out my father, these lessons were so valuable.  

He showed me kindness and love, and also stern discipline with out fear of scrutiny. I respected him then, and to this day have a place in my heart for his example of how a man should behave.  Hard working.  Unconditional love for his family.  And above all Righteous. His lasting impression to me is that God is first in our lives, all other things will follow.  

I remember one of my very last conversations with him, was a biblical dialog that helped me to understand parts of the Bible that to me where difficult to comprehend.  I appreciate all of the time he shared with me. 

When I was about 10 years old, I can recall him bringing me to work with him. He showed me how he took apart large bus engines and got them tuned up quickly to get them back on the road. It was the first time that I learned to use tools. 

He fascinated me his knowledge of both auto mechanics and Gods word.  Thank you Tio for all that you taught me.  I will miss you and try to keep all of your lessons close to my heart as I pass them down to my children now. I know that God has a special place in heaven for you.

One thing I can always remember about Roberto is that he was working!!! He was always working :)  It was not often we saw him at extended family gatherings, but when we did, he always, always was ready to engage you in a God conversation, I know he made me read the bible more than once :) and for that, I will forever be grateful!  My son Ricardo always always told me he looked up to him and never forgets how tio Roberto helped him.  Thank God for the life we shared with our brother Roberto, for the beautiful family he left us with, for his hard work and for his love of God.  He will always live in our hearts.  Love Maricela
