71, (AKA Chayo) Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survived by her daughters Irene Mendez and Alicia Mendez and son Javier Mendez, brothers Miguel Mariles and Jose Mariles (Leonor), grandchildren Charlene Zelaya (John), Veronica Telamantes, Anastasia Gomez, Benjamin Gomez, Angel Araujo, Javier Jr. Mendez, Danielle Araujo, great grandchildren Gabriel Telamantes, Aden Zelaya and Evan Zelaya. Also, survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Born in El Limon, Jalisco, Mexico to Rosalia C. and Pedro M. Mariles. Completed up to a 6th grade education and contributed to the family as a seamstress. Immigrated to the USA at the age of 18. She married Daniel Pedraza Mendez in 1965. She initially worked as nanny then a nursery worker (Oceanside). She then worked as an electronics assembly line supervisor (Fountain Valley). Disabled by RA for the last 35 years, suffered from Kidney and Heart disease. She will be remembered for kindness and caring demeanor.
