On August 13th, 2022, R.K. Houston of Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Irvine, California. He was preceded in death by his son, Christian, and survived by his wife of 25 years, Heather; sons, Hayden and Hunter; and daughter, Katie. He was a doting dad that loved his family passionately. His grandchildren, and now great-grandchild, remember him as the fun-loving “cool guy” with lots of energy and great stories. R.K. honorably served in Vietnam as a US Marine receiving numerous awards, including four Purple Hearts. He was proud to have continued service by mentoring new Marines at Camp Pendleton. R.K. loved to cook, but enjoyed a good cheeseburger and malt. Spending the last 20 years and his retirement in California was a dream come true! His enthusiasm for life was infectious and will be greatly missed.
