You Know,

Was just a Young Warren.  Befriended Deron.  He took Me Home and Sally was There and Took Me As One Of Her Own.  Through Her Actions And Love, Made Me Better On All Counts.  Her Kids and Bud, Too; Were Always There For Me Too.  Really Interesting To Me, Then and Now.  I Really Do Miss Her, And Bud And Deron, Tyler, Tracey, Becky And Les! Was So Much Fun And Love.  Her Brother Jim, Dale, Brett,    Jamie and Scott.  You All Have Influenced My Life.  Through Sally~

We all have Kids Now.  I Hope That I Have Impressed Mine.  Told Them The Story of This.  How Their Pop Came To Be Their Pop with The Influences There Above,... Sally.  Or To Me, Mrs. Pinchot and Her Cadre.

It’s been 3 years, but she is with me every day. Love you Sally

It has been a year since she left us, but her presence is always in my every day life. Hard to believe she is gone but we are always thinking in her. Love you Sally, hoping the flowers Jackie and I put in Megan's and Bud's (hard for him the long walk in the uneven grass) name make you smile.

I remember Sally always being so welcoming to everyone.  She always said, "I love that man." while looking at Bud.  She was fun, loving, loved to sing and loved her family so much.  She loved to tell me about her grandchildren.  She spoke very lovingly about each one of them.  She loved life and lived a very blessed life.  She was loved by many and she  loved many.  You will be missed Sally Jo.

I don't have a specific memory to share, but my memories of Sally are all positive. She was like a second Mom to me after Mike and I met in Junior High School and I spent a lot of time at their house, especially during my high school years. Sally was so warm and loving, and gave good advise to me for navigating those crazy years. She was always generous with her time and was so hospitable. Though I hadn't seen her in many years, I asked Mike about her (and other family members) from time to time. I'm praying for comfort for all who are feeling her loss.

Meme was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She taught us how to live everyday to the fullest and how kindness always prevails. She made friends everywhere she went, didn’t matter if it was at church or waiting in line at the DMV, no one was a stranger. I thank her and the Pinchot family for always accepting and loving me unconditionally. We will miss you, Meme, and love you always!

From the moment my kids and I met Meme, 25+ some years ago, she opened her heart and home to my family.  She never failed to place a smile on my face or comfort me in troubled times.   I am so happy we got to spend time with her and Bud recently. She was vibrant and loving even though we haven’t seen them for a while . Heaven surely is graced with a special angel and I’m happy her and Tyler are together.   Love ❤️ you mean it Meme.

There are lots of memories I have of Sally, the one I loved the most was the day I met her.   Mike (aka Ed) took me to her house to eat lunch,  she reminded me so much of my mom in the way she treated and talked to me, I felt at home and as a part of the family.  She was always ready to help and always had a way of making you feel happy.   She was very special in this world and I will miss her.   God bless you  Sally. 

There is not one particular memory that I have of Sally.  They were all great.  She was feisty, loving, and just so many things rolled into one package.  She would speak her mind which I loved about her.  I also loved how she would adopt people into her family.  When I told her that all of my grandparents were deceased she said no because she would be my grandma.  That made my day.

My first and earliest memory of Salley was in Pasadena . She would take me out back and we would blow dandelions into the wind. (Yep my mom hated It) I remember I thought this was such an amazing thing. To blow on all these little things and watch them blow off into the yard.  Such a simple little thing yet 60+ years later and I can still remember the joy she brought to a little kid. She just had a way of making the littlest of things into lasting memories. I will forever miss you “la lue” may you be at peace.

I was so lucky & proud to call her Mother-in-Law.  She  has been my 'Other Mother' for 36 years. Sweet, loving, funny, easy to tease & a little bit feisty when she needed to be.  But she was also pure love.  Everyone she met became a Friend & every Friend was Family.  I recall Bowling trips sitting together cheering on the bowlers with a "Hey - Yo" when they rolled a strike or spare.  Hundreds of hours were simply entertaining & fun with her, all the while supporting Bud, her Boys & making friends wherever she went.  Remembering "girls' days out" shoplifting [she called it] returning home with bags of newly gotten bargains. Remembering Holiday cooking, crafting & all the girl stuff she shared with us girls that made memories and skills we now pass down to our own children. The extravagant decorating, tear-down & redecorating that each holiday brought. Sitting in her hobby room or reading a book or labeling things or admiring her treasures...oh, how she loved her pretty things. This is how I will remember her. Talking about how she loved her family; children, grandchildren (Meme's Gems) & Bud, he still made her heart race!  I loved mornings with her just sitting together enjoying a cup of coffee. I will miss that so much. She made sure I had candy corn & so I brought her a fresh batch of my homemade broccoli salad and her childhood favorite raisin pie.  Little things brought her so much joy.  I am not sure how to live without her voice, her laugh, seeing her fuss over her loved ones, as she wanted everything perfect... when all the while, she made you feel as though you were!  "I love you & miss you Mom".  90 years but still too soon.   L

Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Sally, I know she was a woman of high character since she raised a son like Darren. I've worked with Darren for many years.  He is a friend and a person of great integrity and high principles which is a direct reflection of his parental influence. Sally will stay ageless to the people who loved her. Sincere condolences to her friends and family.


Our beautiful and caring Meme! What a special soul you are. Your time here on earth was not long enough but we know you live on in our hearts and watch over us. I remember driving to California with your daughter Becky to suprise you. Your face and warm embrace when you saw me instantly made me know real love. You are such a presence and will continue to be for our son. Your Muffin Man, Andrew, loves and misses you very much. Your grandson will know your face and your warm nature. You will never be forgotten. We will always love you! 

I will miss you terribly Sally, but I know you are in good hands. Don't forget your promise to come and visit me with your Mom, I'll have the coffee ready. Everyday when I drink my morning coffee I will be thinking of you as well as always.

We will miss you, Sally. Our hearts are broken that we won’t hear your wonderful laugh anymore, nor see your smiling face. You loved all of us, and you made sure we all knew it. I picture Tyler riding out to the Heavenly Gates on his police motorcycle, to take you in to be with all those who went before you. What a party is waiting for you! Save us a place till we meet again!
