I’ll always remember how great of a father he was for his kids and a father figure to me. He may not know how much it meant to me when he told me he was proud of me the time I bought my first car, but that had such an impact on me that I’ll always cherish that memory.  Thank you for always making me feel like part of the family.  Rest easy Chava. 

Para mi Chava fue una persona especial. Siempre fui bien recibida en su casa y su recuerdo siempre estará en mi corazón. Dios lo tenga en su santa gloria. 

Mucha fortaleza para todos y pronta resignación,  no hay palabras para su dolor pero ahora esta descansando  con sus padres, Mi tio chava vuela alto 

My brother Chava, was always late for our birthday parties… His excuse was “ I was watching Futbol”. Las Chivas was his favorite Team.


Always calm and relax, never really worry about anything…. Brutally Honest and always give us unwanted advice about anything, specially financial tips.
At my wedding I asked him to walk me to the altar, he made some jokes about it, but I know that he was proud to do it.
He was also my compadre, he was Michelle ‘s Godfather.

He also thanked my husband for being a good and faithful husband and for giving me a good life.

He will forever be in our hearts and prayers 🙏🏻

I remember Mayras Dad as a very talkative and friendly person when I would go over to her house he would give me advice on what to do with buying a home or car one day. He was a very loving person with my son and always offered him ice cream and fruit. He will be deeply missed my condolences to your family Mayra.

En su última visita a México, estaba muy entusiasmado por ir a comer birria,  hicimos un viaje muy cercano a Chapala, disfrutó muchísimo su birria y siempre hablando cosas muy lindas de su familia. Mi padre Ruben, y nosotros, estamos con ustedes.

My favorite memories of my uncle will always be when he would sit and talk about cars with me. My uncle loved cracking jokes and was always the life of the party. One memory I will never forget is when my cousin Mayra hit a car that was parked illegally behind her. My uncle chuckled and  kept telling cousin  Mayra nothing happened if there was no one who saw. I will miss you Tio Chava. 

This was the first time, I took my dad to The Boiling Crab. This day was memorable because my dad was unaware that the shrimp sold here was unpeeled. My mother & I laughed so hard because my dad was struggling to peel the shrimp  with his fingers. He said “why would anyone pay to peel their own shrimp?”. Well dad, it’s a good thing you didn’t pay. We love you and miss you. -Mayra
