Sarah spent part of her childhood in Santa Ana, California. After marrying the love of her life, Al Montoya, in 1962, the couple settled in Fountain Valley, California, where they built their life together. Sarah and Al shared 44 wonderful years of marriage.
Sarah was a devoted mother to her three daughters: Irene Ybarra and her husband Robert Ybarra, Denise Demers and her husband Jack Demers, and Debra Montoya. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, Skylar Demers and Dillon Ybarra, who brought immense joy to her life.
Sarah graduated from Garden Grove High School and later attended Azusa Pacific College in Los Angeles. She went on to build a career in quality control in the fabrication of medical equipment, eventually working at McGaw Laboratories, where she dedicated 25 years of service.
Faith was an important part of Sarah’s life. Raised in the Free Methodist tradition, she continued to practice her faith throughout her life and remained devoted to attending church.
Sarah found great happiness in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. She loved gardening, ceramic painting, and watercolor painting. She also enjoyed visiting the casino, playing bingo, and searching for hidden treasures at estate sales. Above all, Sarah cherished time spent with her grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
Sarah will be remembered for her loving spirit, strong faith, and deep devotion to her family.
