

El 10 de septiembre de 1946, en Malabrigo, La Libertad, Perú, nació el Reverendo Saúl Ríos López, un hombre cuya vida estaría marcada por la fe, el amor a Dios y un profundo compromiso con la proclamación del Evangelio. Siendo aún un niño, se trasladó con su familia a Lima, donde creció conociendo al Señor y desarrollando una profunda relación con Dios. Durante su adolescencia, mientras asistía a la Iglesia Buen Pastor, sintió el llamado de Dios al ministerio de evangelismo. A los 18 años, comenzó formalmente su ministerio, dedicando su vida a predicar la Palabra de Dios, evangelizar y establecer iglesias. Su pasión por alcanzar almas lo llevó a ministrar no solo en diferentes lugares del Perú, sino también en diversos países de Latinoamérica, incluyendo Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Panamá, Colombia, Costa Rica y Uruguay. A lo largo de su ministerio, tuvo el privilegio de servir como Coordinador de Cruzadas del reconocido evangelista Yiye Ávila y como maestro en el Instituto Bíblico Andino de las Asambleas de Dios del Peru, contribuyendo a la preparación y formación de hombres y mujeres llamados a servir a Dios.
A los 48 años, el Reverendo Saúl Ríos emigró a los Estados Unidos y se estableció en California. Junto a su esposa, Betty Tamara Ríos, a quien cariñosamente llamaba “mi preciosa”, fundó el Centro Evangelístico “Ríos de Agua Viva” en Stanton, California, en el año 2000. Desde allí, continuó desarrollando un ministerio dedicado a alcanzar vidas, fortalecer familias y proclamar el mensaje de Jesucristo. Sirvió muchos años como Presbítero Distrital del Distrito del Sur Pacifico y participó en diversos comités compartiendo experiencia y mentoría. Su servicio al Reino de Dios también se extendió más allá de las fronteras de los Estados Unidos, brindando cobertura espiritual, orientación y apoyo a iglesias en Perú, Cuba, Chile y Costa Rica. En 2011, impulsado por su deseo de preparar una nueva generación de ministros y líderes, fundó el Instituto Bíblico “Ríos de Agua Viva”, con la visión de capacitar y equipar a hombres y mujeres para continuar la obra del Señor y llevar adelante el legado del Evangelio.
El Reverendo Saúl Ríos dejó mucho más que una trayectoria ministerial. Dejó un legado de fe, amor, perseverancia y servicio a Dios. Su vida impactó a generaciones, y su ejemplo continuará hablando aun después de su partida. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Betty Tamara Ríos, “su preciosa”, con quien compartió 30 años de matrimonio; sus hijos, Arturo y Omar; su nuera, Karenth; sus amados nietos, Meylin, Matías y Hiro; y sus queridos compañeros, Cocco Chanel y Theo.
Para su familia, siempre será recordado con profundo amor como Honey, Papa y Papito Saúl, Para quienes caminaron a su lado en el ministerio, será recordado como Mi Pastor: un siervo apasionado por Dios, un predicador del Evangelio y un hombre dedicado a cumplir fielmente su llamado.
El 2 de septiembre, después de una vida enteramente dedicada al Señor, el Reverendo Saúl Ríos llegó a la meta. Su carrera terrenal llegó a su fin, pero su legado permanece. Terminó su carrera. Guardó la fe. Cumplió su llamado. La semilla que sembró con lágrimas, oración, sacrificio y amor continuará dando fruto de generación en generación. Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, Rev. On September 10, 1946, in Malabrigo, La Libertad, Peru, the Reverend Saúl Ríos López was born—a man whose life would be marked by faith, love for God, and a deep commitment to proclaiming the Gospel. As a young child, he moved with his family to Lima, where he grew up learning about the Lord and developing a deep relationship with God. During his adolescence, while attending Buen Pastor Church, he felt God’s call to the ministry of evangelism. At the age of 18, he formally began his ministry, dedicating his life to preaching the Word of God, evangelizing, and establishing churches. His passion for souls led him to minister not only throughout Peru, but also in various countries across Latin America, including Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay. Throughout his ministry, he had the privilege of serving as a Crusade Coordinator for renowned evangelist Yiye Ávila and as a teacher at the Andean Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God in Peru, contributing to the preparation and training of men and women called to serve God.
At the age of 48, Reverend Saúl Ríos immigrated to the United States and settled in California. Together with his wife, Betty Tamara Ríos, whom he lovingly called “my precious,” he founded the Centro Evangelistico “Ríos de Agua Viva” in Stanton, California, in the year 2000. From there, he continued to develop a ministry dedicated to reaching lives, strengthening families, and proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ. He served for many years as a District Presbyter of the Southern Pacific District Council, and participated in various committes sharing experience and mentorship. His service to the Kingdom of God also extended beyond the borders of the United States. providing spiritual covering, guidance, and support to churches in Peru, Cuba, Chile, and Costa Rica. In 2011, driven by his desire to prepare a new generation of ministers and leaders, he founded the “Ríos de Agua Viva” Bible Institute, with the vision of training and equipping men and women to continue the work of the Lord and carry forward the legacy of the Gospel.
Reverend Saúl Ríos left behind much more than a ministerial history. He left a legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and service to God. His life impacted generations, and his example will continue to speak even after his passing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Tamara Ríos, “his precious,” with whom he shared 30 years of marriage; his sons, Arturo and Omar; his daughter-in-law, Karenth; his beloved grandchildren, Meylin, Matías, and Hiro; and his cherished companions, Cocco Chanel and Theo. To his family, he will always be remembered with profound love as Honey, Papa and Papito Saúl. and My Pastor. To those who walked alongside him in ministry, he will be remembered as My Pastor and a servant passionate for God, a preacher of the Gospel, and a man devoted to fulfilling his calling.
On September 2, after a life wholly dedicated to the Lord, Reverend Saúl Ríos reached the finish line. His earthly race came to an end, but his legacy remains. He finished his race. He kept the faith. He fulfilled his calling. The seed he planted through tears, prayer, sacrifice, and love will continue to bear fruit from generation to generation. Until we meet again, Rev.
