Sharon completed her mortal life peacefully in her home in Tustin, California. She was born in Elsinore, Utah to Royal and Sevilla Lott. She married her sweetheart Lloyd M Rasmussen in the Manti Utah Temple on June 26, 1953. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She and Lloyd raised their six children in Tustin, California. She gathered her family often and cherished all family events. Sharon loved to travel and learn of other cultures. She travelled the world extensively, yet she loved America and was grateful for the freedom of this great land. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was central to her life. She served countless hours in church capacities such as Young Women's Advisor, Stake Relief-Society President, and temple worker in the Los Angeles Temple. In 1990 Sharon and Lloyd moved to Eugene, Oregon, where they dedicated three years to preside over the Oregon, Eugene Mission. She loved serving as a missionary and supporting the young missionaries under their stewardship. In 2005, Sharon was so grateful to see the Newport Beach California Temple built near their home in Orange County. She and Lloyd were called to serve in the temple, Lloyd as a member of the temple presidency and Sharon as first matron. Sharon was known for her kind loving nature and dedicated service. She had a firm testimony in Jesus Christ and taught her children and grandchildren to follow the example of Jesus Christ. She is survived by her six children, 31 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center located at 674 S. Yorba Street in the City of Orange.
