Steven John Brewer

Steven John Brewer, 72, of Orange, California, passed away, Tuesday, March 14th at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30p.m. Thursday, March 23rd in Waverly Chapel at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705. Steven was born October 26, 1944 in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, CA to Robert and Mazie (Petersen) Brewer. He graduated from Santa Ana Valley High School in 1963, and from Whittier College in 1967. On July 23, 1966 he married Janet Lynn Engisch. He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1970. He practiced law from that time until his death, focusing the majority of his career in family law. He and Janet had two daughters, Jennifer in 1975 and Stephanie in 1978. Throughout his life he enjoyed golfing, fishing, biking, reading, and gardening, although his true joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, and his many friends. Steven is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Brewer Sanders and her husband Jeff of New Canaan, CT, Stephanie Brewer Crawford and her husband Noel of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, John, Ella, and Caroline Sanders, Ethan and Anne Crawford; his sister Christina Ferry of El Dorado, CA and two nephews John and Paul Ferry; and former spouse Janet (Engisch) Conrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mazie.
