He was born on February 25, 1934 in Tan Buu, Vietnam. He served in the Vietnamese army and worked as
a diplomat for the South Vietnamese embassy in Ivory Coast, Africa and Oslo, Norway. He came with his family
to the United States as refugees in 1975. He along with his wife,Rosalyn, rebuilt their lives from scratch and
successfully established themselves first in Texas, then Oklahoma and finally here in Westminster, California. Thien was
a dedicated family man, devoted to his wife, and a loving father to his two children. After retiring from Boeing,
the couple enjoyed traveling the globe by taking cruises and tours to explore the wonders of the world and experience
the different cultures of Egypt, China, Japan, Germany and France. He left behind his wife, Rosalyn, two children and two
grandchildren. Thien was a gentle soul,touching the heart of each person that met him with his thoughtfulness, kindness and
compassion. He was a caring and loving father and a devoted husband, unselfishly caring for his wife above and
beyond his own needs.
Funeral services will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave,
Santa Ana, CA 92705 on March 24th, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
