Dr. William Edward “Bill” Danko, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday April 19, 2024, just 3 days shy of his 95th birthday. Born in Youngwood, PA, on April 22, 1929 and raised in Jeannette, PA where he was a member of the 1947 graduating class of Jeannette High School. He memorably spent his high school days as the left handed golf opponent of Arnold Palmer, with whom he maintained a lifelong relationship. Aside from being an avid golfer, Bill was an acclaimed Radiologist and Veteran of the United States Air Force. He moved his young family from Pennsylvania to Fairbanks, Alaska to serve before relocating to sunny Southern California where he could practice medicine and golf year round. He achieved great success in his career as a physician, becoming a foundational member and president of Radiology at Chapman Medical Center. He lived in North Tustin for over 60 years, and is survived by his daughter Annette and his son Ron; his grandsons Robert, Matthew, and Andrew and their spouses Margo, Joey and Riley; his great grand daughters Nila, Nadia and Scotlyn on the way, as well as his sister Nancy Mash and her husband Eugene, their children and families. He will be welcomed in his eternal life by his wife Roseann and son William Jr., as well as his long departed parents and many, many relatives and friends.
