Yvonne “Bonnie” Evelyn Sweetser, 90, was born February, 18, 1928 in Santa Ana, California to parents Thomas Hess Smith and Helen Katherine Welshans. She passed away on May 26, 2018 in Midway, UT with family by her side. She married Leland E. Sweetser on April 19, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Santa Ana High School and Santa Ana Community College where she earned her AA degree. Bonnie was committed to many charities throughout her life. She enjoyed singing, dancing, painting, reading, and traveling the world.
Bonnie is survived by her four children, Tom, Bill, Laurie, and Susie; daughter-in-law, June; eight grandchildren, Nick (Lauren), Kyle (Tiffany), Kinsey, Jake, Josh, Branden, Michael, and Monique; and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Evie, Jack, and Kameron. She loved raising her family in Santa Ana. Bonnie, who her grandkids and greats called “Kiki,” was a loving mom with an incredible sense of humor. She was known for her infectious laugh, sociability, and style.
