Adam Christopher Wolf was born on September 25, 1985 in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia at 10:40pm. He lived the majority of his life in California where he lived everyday with a life and passion for everything he did.
He was beloved to his family. The only son of Melorwati Wolfe (now Hottel) and William Wolfe, a dear brother to his sister Lisa Wolfe and a brother to his four half sisters Terri Mullen, Vicki Harney, Tamara Bartman and Wendy Venable, and an uncle to Phoenix and Keanu. He lived, loved and shared his life with his significant others, Ryan(Echo) and Jamie(Kat), where he was their soulmate, their partner, and their world. He was a cherished friend and coworker to many. He was an amazing, brilliant person that will be missed by many family and friends.
To his family, he was uniquely special in the best of ways. He would come to family gatherings and share his knowledge of animals, kombucha making, and things they would have never known about before otherwise. Despite him possibly thinking what he said was not always understood (this may have been very well true), never was a word he said not accepted with open ears and an open heart. His presence was always enjoyed, and his many quirks and habits will be dearly missed. Family in Malaysia would often be greeted by Adams friendly voice over FaceTime calls. Although there was a language barrier, this would not hold him back from engaging in conversation willingly and without hesitation. As family, the love for Adam many times went unspoken with the occasional “I love you” when not in each other’s presence, but our love for him now and for always will be unconditional. He was accepted for who he was, what he wanted to do, who he loved and for who he became. He lived his life in a way we can all aspire to do and continued on his fathers legacy by continuing to enjoy many of the same things he did that brought our father much joy and that he did with the same felt passion. Many beloved and fond memories were shared and will be remembered, but above all, his sweet smile and warm, strong embrace will be missed by the family he loved dearly.
To his partners and lovers, Ryan and Jamie, he was their "Awoo", their soulmate, and their partner in life. He brightened their lives and made every day they spent living with him special. They went on many adventures together from hiking and furcons to sharing Adams' many passions with him. They brewed Jun together and the SCOBYs they had are still going. Together, the three of them were furries and pagans. Adam was proud to be a furry named Lambda Comet-tail. The three of them shared their exotic pets, Darwin the ball python, Octavian the tarantula, their ant colonies, larvae, and shrimp. Their daddy will be dearly missed. Adam always knew what to say, when to give hugs, he was always there, always ready. To his partners, Adam was their world. They were planning to buy a house together and now any home feels empty without their soulmate, Adam. "We will forever love and miss you Awoo."
To his friends and coworkers he was "Wolf" and "Wolfie." Adam was passionate about his career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. For years, he dedicated his life to treating and caring for animals. He got his motorcycle to commute to work, He was proud that he could work on the bike in the garage. He had so much love to give. He was there for his coworkers when needed and always offered his support. Playing Magic: The Gathering during slow shifts with his coworkers and cherished friends that were like brothers to him, David Wagner and Adam Nagal. He loved his friends.
Playing games with his friends and loved ones was a favorite pastime of his. He would play boardgames, video games, card games, and puzzles. There was never a dull moment around him. From adventures to Renfaire with his mother, partners, and friends where they enjoyed happy memories. Adam was fond of watching the glass blower there. He always appreciated quality, handmade work. To adventures at Furcons where he could unleash his furry self.
Adam was and always will be a special person in all our hearts. He loved the color yellow and roses. He loved to skateboard and even picked up a skateboard that he rode around the neighborhood on. He loved music and would play any instrument he could with passion. He joined a band younger and was planning to join a band again to keep this passion alive. Such a cherished musically talented man playing anything he put his mind to. He shared this passion with his soul mates, he encouraged them to learn to play music with him and adored them when they did. His music will be missed by everyone that was blessed to hear him play.
Adam loved to eat good food. Many of his favorites included mi goreng, Asian dried plums, and the rambutan that were introduced to him by his mother, Wati. She always made sure to pick these up for him to enjoy whenever she visited her neighborhood Asian market. He was very adventurous when it came to trying new foods. His favorites included sushi, beef jerky, and the turkey legs from the Ren Faire that he attended with his mother, partners, and friends. He loved the beef stroganoff that his partners prepared every Sunday for him upon his persistent request. Stroganoff leftovers always went to work with him for lunch. He also enjoyed visiting his mother and eating her spaghetti and meatballs. She always made sure he had food to take home with him. His last meal with his partners was that beef stroganoff he loved so much. Alongside food, he brewed Jun with his partners and he loved jasmine tea.
Adam developed a love of collecting things from his father, William . Adam would collect many things from the paper currencies his father gave him, to the silver coins and antiques he collected with his partners. He believed in the physical values of things. Adam talked of buying a home and starting to have children with his partners. He wanted to continue the family name “Wolf.” He would have made an amazing father. Adam was smart and always thought of emergency situations. He was an emergency prepper from collecting water, food and salt to medical and tech bags. He was always prepared. He loved shopping at antique stores and at Savers where he could find many unusual items from century old carboy jugs to oil lamps. These passions of his will live on in those that did this hobby with him.
Adam was filled with passion, dedication, and so many amazing qualities.
His love of nature was unlike any other. He was true to his Pagan beliefs. He was proud to be an initiated Pagan. He often hiked with his girlfriend and boyfriend, exploring the redwoods as he enjoyed his deep connection to nature. Adam never followed the trail, he would go off trail and climb whatever he could.
Adam was a man that loved to learn, he was full of curiosity, and loved to explore. His family and friends enjoyed watching his eyes light up whenever he spoke enthusiastically of his passions. His devotion, his curiosity, his passions, everything that made him who he was will be missed and cherished forever.
Adam is in heaven, having been greeted by his adoring father Bill with open arms and comforted by the companionship of his two cats Ra and Boo. They are all in the best company as he looks upon us today and for always.
A memorial service for Wolfie will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
