Al was always a straight shooter.  He worked hard and he loved what he did.  I'll miss working with him. Peace to his family and loved ones.

Al, such a void was left when you moved on with your journey. Though I only met you once, I recognized right away, the gentleness of your soul and how you sparkled from the inside. Thank you so much for being such a source of strength and support for my Mom when she was enduring her own battle with breast cancer. Without your love and caring nature to keep her going she may not have come out as well as she did. I will forever be grateful to you for that! May your path be one of peace and serenity, you are once again healthy and young ... I like to think that we are not "human beings" on a spiritual journey. but rather "spiritual beings" on a human journey,,, you are free now ! Bless your soul... you will obviously be missed by many friends and loved ones whose lives you touched in many ways, I know that for my Mom, her life was a better place because you were in it, and I hope wherever you are, you left this life with some sense of the positive and significant  impact you had on your little corner of the world. Thank you and happy trails!

Dear Al and Family,
I miss you partner. Every show..you will be remembered. You were a big part of our Shoreline family and for that reason you will never be forgotten. You loved the music. I can hear your laughter, see your smile and remember your generosity of spirit. A long line of successful individuals owe a debt of gratitude including myself for your knowledge and selfless willingness to share. I didn't want you to leave, I cursed your cancer and wanted you to continue walking the Gate 5 ramp. We were partners for hundreds of shows especially our favorite..The Bridge School. We always made the show happen. I will miss our bull sessions at the dock and the Sports Page. You and Drew probably saved my life when Shoreline flooded. You insisted on tying a line around my waist before I went diving. You were smarter and dry and enjoyed a good laugh at my foolhardiness. Thank you for being a good friend, teacher,partner and fellow music lover. The show will continue and you will always be my guardian angel.

My heart is breaking with the news of your passing Al. You were surely one of my BEST friends and I will always miss your laughter and your positive spirit.  You were surely one of the brightest lights in my life...and I know that you are shining upon all of us.......

Hey Al,
We didn't hang out much over the years mainly due to distance in miles. But I do remember when our family visited your family in the mid 60's and there's one thing I have thought of often over the years. You insisted that we visit the "Cruz" which was the boardwalk at Santa Cruz. Thrill rides, scam carnival games, cotton candy etc. I have always loved losing myself in those childish pleasures and because of you I had my day at the "Cruz". Thanks, Cousin!

Ahhh, Big Al...
Soo many hours spent on show floors, so many jokes, so many laughs...you kept us going-even when the setups were crazy.  And the best big hugs in the world!!... and I'll remember always you making ME laugh again - even in your pain.  Love & the biggest bear hug ever to you, my friend.

Uncle Al - I can't believe you're gone!  This marks the ending of an era and I know if you were here you would remind me that I am getting old :-)!
