On Saturday October 11th, Amerigo Eric Maimone died of heart failure. Eric was born in Gap, France, and was raised in San Jose California. He came to California with his parents Antonio and Domenica in 1971. He was a painter for most of his life. He had a knack for making things beautiful again and was very good with his hands.
He had many different talents. He loved animals with passion. He would raise rabbits, chickens, pheasants, quails and anything he could think of and loved aquariums. He especially loved his dogs. His favorite was Angel and a dog named Eric. But most of all he loved his family. He was the epitome of a person that would give the shirt off his back to you. It didn’t matter if he knew you or not. If he saw, you needed something he had he would give it to you.
He is survived by his brother Joseph Maimone and sister-in-law Theresa Maimone. Also, his niece Antoinette Maimone and her 3 children, Xavier, Domenica and Giovani. Stepson Ryan Oland and his girlfriend Glenda Callison and her son and my brother’s best friend Daniel Perez. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss his enduring smile and tender disposition. He is and always will be missed dearly.
A visitation will be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, located at 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050, on October 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A committal service is scheduled at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St, Santa Clara, CA 95050, on October 23, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
