Thank you so much for being such the wonderful Madrina to Fernando. Six years ago, we made the decision to make you and Alfonso our godparents, the mentors that will guide us throughout our married life. You have always shown endless kindness and respect to me, to Fernando, to everyone in your life. Your courage and strength will always be remembered forever.

Madrina - the word itself has so much meaning to me. I am so blessed to have had u in my life from the very beginning. You were always there for me and my family ... The neighbor -that became the friend - that became the godmother - that became family.      Growing up around u I felt the love only comparable to that of a mother, a protector . Your love never took a day off or forgot about me... Every birthday , every Christmas , every special occasion  you were there. You were a cornerstone of your family and of ours. I will never forget the way you would introduce myself and my siblings - " mis ahijados!"  always proud of us no matter what age we were . How did you do it all so perfect ..the mother , the godmother , the wife , the friend ... You were a woman like no other Madrina ... Love you always ... Fernando

What a true humble, loving and great person tia Tonia was! I will always have her in my prayers and in my memories. Thank You for always smiling and being who you were.

DEVOTION – ardent, often selfless affection and dedication, as to a person. 

It is quite fitting in a time of remembrance to also reflect on those individuals who cared for our beloved Tona. I'd like to acknowledge Tona's children – my husband Marco, brother-in-law Alphonso and sister-in-law Vero for their tireless efforts, relentless commitment and selfless DEVOTION to their mom. They cared for Tona with such gentleness, dignity, patience and love that I stood in awe each and every day as I witnessed their loving caretaking. It was beyond admirable!!! Tona could not have asked for a more caring environment. This experience, although painful, has strengthened relationships, fortified family unions and reaffirmed our faith in God! 

Mom, I know you are smiling upon us all from heaven. We love you!

Mom – there are no words to describe the pain of losing you. I miss you dearly! You are the most beautiful and courageous woman I have ever known. You had a heart of gold and a smile that was contagious. It is no surprise that amongst all of your genuine and loving qualities, you too were an AMAZING grandmother. You were not only Eliana's caretaker, you were her teacher of life, her playmate and frankly her BEST FRIEND.  The special bond that you too shared was indescribable. Eliana adores you!

Mom - my promise to you is to always speak your name, to remember your life and to recount all of the beautiful memories you created with your grandchildren so that Eliana and “Marquito” will always have you present in their hearts.  You are now their Guardian Angel and I know that you will watch over them every day and night! As Eliana says, “Grandma has wings now…she can fly…and she is in my heart forever.”

Never judging me always there to support me. You were and will continue to be an exceptional role model to me. You were always so sweet and loving, with such a kind heart.
