Arthur “Tutu”Ochoa, 85 passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024, at Sunnyvale Gardens surrounded by his family. Arthur passed quickly from a short battle of cancer. He was born on June 30, 1939, in San Fernando Valley, to Matilda Celaya Ochoa. He was a proud resident of Santa Clara County for the last 50 years. He was married to his lovely wife Lydia Ochoa on May 25, 1975, in Douglas County.
He worked as a woodwork laborer for Future Packaging in Sunnyvale making beautiful crates and shipping them out. Arthur was loved by many, had a huge heart and was known as a jokester. His family was his everything, especially his grandchildren. Arthur always had the ability to make anyone smile or laugh. In Arthur’s early days if you wanted to find him, you could catch him on a weekend at the Capital Flea Market selling what he would called “collectibles”.
Halloween was one of Arthur‘s favorite time of the year. He loved setting up haunted houses and scaring the children. One year he was so determined that he climbed on top onto the roof with a ghost releasing it down when the children would come by. He lived life!!
Arthur also loved, relaxing and listening to his oldies cassette tapes, going out dancing with mom and playing pinnacle on his iPad. He also loved going through his coin collection using his large magnifying glass. He would look at those coins for hours.
He is survived by children Aurora, Adrian, Venessa, Miguel, Grandchildren, Cousins and many many more.
We are all going to miss Tutu!! We love you!! And his famous response would be “Bullshit, I love you!!”
