Born on September 13, 1944, in San Jose, California, Athana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to helping others through her work and volunteer service. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched the lives of many.
Athana brought joy to her family, friends, coworkers, and community, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Athana is survived by her husband, Jimmie Divers; daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Steve Souza; grandchildren, Stephen and Paige Souza; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Divers.
A visitation will be held on September 10, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on September 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, followed by burial at Mission City Memorial Park.
