Bev Johnson passed away surrounded by family after her courageous battle with dementia. Bev was born in Palo Alto, CA, to Lloyd and Mary Helton. The family relocated when Bev was entering kindergarten to Sunnyvale, CA. Upon her marriage, Bev moved to Rohnert Park, CA, where she lived most of her life.
She graduated from Fremont High School (class of ’66) in Sunnyvale, CA. For 25 years, Bev worked in the Silicon Valley electronics industry for both Hewlett Packard and Agilent. Bev was an involved member of the Santa Rosa Bible Church and was a devout Christian who maintained a deep faith in the Lord.
Bev enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading books, building jigsaw puzzles, playing canasta, watching movies, traveling and being a true fan of Barbra Streisand but most of all she loved spending precious time with family and her little dog Dixie.
Bev was proceeded in death by her husband, Reed Johnson. She leaves behind her daughters: Cori Johnson (Elaine Silveria) and Jesica Johnson (Ty Cox), in addition to her grandchildren: Gabrial Johnson, Jayden Cox, and Jake Johnson-Silveria. Bev was a loving sister to the late Larry Helton and to her sisters-in-law, Trudy Helton and Sunny Goodman, as well as to her nieces and nephews.
We thank the incredibly loving and caring staff (family) of Sunol Creek Memory Care in Pleasanton, CA, for the compassionate care extended to Bev. In honor of Bev’s wishes, private services will be held. If you choose, donations could be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Bev’s memory.
