Just came to hear Booker had passed away. A great instructor and teacher. You will be greatly missed!

The loving supportive and humorous nature of Booker will forever remain with me.
Though i know this is no substitute for the loss of your dear husband, father, and friend, it is my humble desire that the memories of how he lived his life unselfishly remain embedded in your hearts.

I met Booker at Squadron 2 flying club in Feb 2008. First thing I noticed about him was his smile and his humorous nature. He was a great flight instructor, very detailed, safe and careful. His words still come into my mind while flying: during checklists, take offs, & landings. I also enjoyed spending time with him besides flight training at the Applebee's bar near his house and at the sq2 club. Every time I think of going to Mexico or drink 'Negra Modelo', it reminds me of Booker. 
One of my proudest moments in life was when he told me that I am one of his best students that he ever had in 20+ years of flight training. This was on the day that I got my pilot's license (July 2008). I still have his small note on the back of his business card along with the signed copy of the certificate framed at my house.
I feel at loss to know that he is no longer with us but his memories will be with me forever. We will miss him.
