personality, and the most beautiful smile that could light up anyone's soul! You cruised into
people's lives, in the same way, that you cruised through the streets on your beloved longboard
always flashing your smile and sporting hot pink lipstick. Your undeniably beautiful soul and
your spirit was contagious to anyone fortunate enough to come into your life.
Your will was strong, and your life was promising, despite the hardship of when life robbed you
of your beautiful mother, Lisa. You were just twelve years old then, yet you used your strength
as a shield and love as your sword. You wore your heart on your sleeve, smiled at the world, and
continued to touch lives in such a meaningful way. You were beyond special, like a rainbow in
the sky: colorful, bright, peaceful, and promising. A truly breathtaking spirit!
Surfing was her Passion; Music was her Escape; Animals were her love!
The California coastline was Brittany's playground. She had a knack for finding all the best
lookouts and surf locations, up and down the coast. She always gravitated to Santa Cruz, the
lifestyle and atmosphere inspired her imagination and brought eternal joy to her soul. She was
born close to the ocean, and it was no surprise that she was most tranquil and content when she
returned to it. Brittany could drive to the coast on a moment's notice and spend hours just staring
at the ocean, that was her chill spot!
Your endless beauty extended throughout your spirit to your beautiful singing voice, and
everyone who experienced it knew how amazing it was. No doubt you were one of a kind,
always in the know of up-and-coming artists, consistently listening to your music with your
headphones in or while driving with music blasting over the car speakers. We will always
cherish how excited you were to share your favorite music with us, and we will never forget all
the many, many memories that we shared singing out loud, to all your favorite artists,
specifically Post Malone and Russ. We will miss your smile, your laugh, and listening to you
share your beautiful voice with the world.
Brittany was known for her love for all animals, domestic and exotic alike. She was concerned
for their wellbeing and truthfully would save them all if she could. Her side kick growing up was
a furry white American Eskimo dog, named Meiko. Meiko always had company and all of
Brittany’s pets were so loved, she could never get enough of them. She would bring home dogs,
cats, rabbits, and even a hedgehog, but most exciting of all was chasing the Spider Squirrel
around the house.
Brittany fiercely loved her family: Mom, Dad, grandparents, Phyllis and Jim, and her aunts, Julie and Meg. She was very protective of their unity and loved having family gatherings. She was wise beyond her years and was always capable of balancing long distances while maintaining that strong family connection.
She shared an adventurous life with Mom, Dad, and Meiko, living the life of a military brat,
while experiencing some of the most beautiful scenic areas in the country. At one point, living in
the state of New Mexico, at the base of the Sandia Mountains, where she loved the view it
provided. What she loved even more than that view was being able to snow tube down the hill,
right in our backyard. She would always tell you, that was her favorite place to live!
She built special relationships with friends at Orchard Middle School and Wilcox High School,
that lasted a lifetime. Playing basketball at recess with her friends, sliding around underneath the
school bus seats like they were surfing, even got kicked out of class a time or two for laughing
too much. Remember that great sense of humor and wit, inspiring you to give a carrot to your
friend with the big front teeth, “silly rabbit”. She was a caring person, a great listener and an
amazing friend. You would never judge, instead you were there to provide support and give
advice to anyone that needed it. She did whatever she could to ensure someone was happy, felt
welcome and most of all, cared for. She shared her passions and even introduced her friends to
Pho, Surfing and Russ. She was so selfless and genuine, as her friends would say! A kind and
bubbly personality that would touch your soul. We were all lucky to know her and be loved by
her.
Now you are happy, at peace and reunited with mommy and your pup. If heaven has a beach I do
not doubt that you have found it, that perfect chill spot, listening to your music, as you scan the
ocean for your next wave.
