Carlo "Charlie" A. Iorizzo

Carlo A. "Charlie" Iorizzo, 75, of San Jose, California, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at El Camino Hospital, Los Gatos. Carlo was born August 12, 1937 in San Francisco, California to Alfredo and Marie (Forni) Iorizzo. He attended Live Oak High School and graduated from San Jose Technical High School in 1956. On March 26, 1960 he married the former Joan E. Compton in Pacific Grove. Carlo was employed as an electronic technician with San Jose Unified School District for over 30 years. During his retirement he enjoyed his volunteer work at O'Connor Hospital for 10 years, planning weekend trips, spending time with family and friends while serving his homemade pasta or out at his favorite haunts and of course wine tasting. Carlo is survived by his loving family, wife Joan, daughter Carla E. Leonhardt and her husband Sid, son Anthony, grandson Zeff and his mother Isabel Iorizzo and honorary family member Jack Z. Matau. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Carlo's name to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or American Diabetes Association .The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Lima Family Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, California 95050. A Funeral Service will be held honoring Carlo on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at Lima Family Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, California 95050. Internment will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00AM at Los Gatos Memorial Park Cemetery.
