Cathy Jean Cerone

Cathy Jean Cerone passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Reno, Nevada. Born on April 30, 1950, in Santa Clara, California, Cathy brought warmth and kindness into the lives of all who knew her. A true sweetheart, she was known for her generous spirit and caring heart.

Cathy's family was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Charlotte Dwonch (Joseph) and Jennifer Trenery (Billy); her cherished grandchildren Chloe, Katie, and Bruno; and her great-grandson Morty. Her deep bond with her sister and best friend Toni Lynn Guilfoyle (Tom) was a source of strength and joy throughout her life. She also leaves behind her brothers Richard (Michelle) and Jim Cerone (Jeni), sister-in-law Lucy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charlie Steele; her parents Frank and Jackie Cerone; sisters Verna and Harriet; brothers Phillip and Edmund; and sister-in-law Ellen.

She will be missed dearly and remembered always.
