1947 – 2021
It is with great and lasting sorrow that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt on January, 18, 2021. She was a very loving, caring and whole hearted person, and was deeply adored by all of her loved ones. Her love and caring nature overflowed to all her family and close friends. She would selflessly contribute the time and energy needed to make their lives better if she could. She was a positive influence with all who came in contact with her.
Consuelo (Connie) was born in Reedley, California and was raised in San Jose, California. She was fortunate to grow up with six loving siblings, Teresa, Lupe, Mary, Josie, Richard and Robert. She was married in 1971 to James W. Hill and had a wonderful, adventurous and fulfilling life with him. Connie and her husband lived and raised their children in San Jose, and also had a beach house in Aptos where they spent much of their free time, where lots of unforgettable memories were made. They also lived abroad in England for two years for work purposes, and were able to travel extensively while there. Also, she and her husband traveled often to Mexico and all over the world. They went on several walking and biking tours outside the U.S.
She was a proud mother of two children, Christina and James (Jimmy), mother-in-law to Karolyn, and a grandmother to four grandchildren, Felicia, Kaylee, Karlee and Kielee. She loved the Christmas season and was well known for hosting an annual Christmas party for all her beloved friends and family. It was the only time of the year that all could see each other and catch up on their lives, as well as share many laughs, happiness, and indulge in great food.
She enriched all our lives beyond compare and we feel blessed that we could experience the opportunity. Her individuality always provided a light for others.
