Debbie graduated from the College of Environmental Design with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California Berkeley in August of 1991. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University in June of 1998.
Debbie leaves behind her loving family-- husband James I. Steacy, son James Zachary Steacy, daughter Prudence Steacy Kolano and husband Paul, her two loving grandchildren Isabella and Finn Kolano, brother Sal La Russa and wife Judy, sister Marcia Padia and husband Gary and sister Susan Jacobson and husband Jim.
She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews- Gil Padia, Vincent La Russa, Gabriel Padia, Jennifer La Russa Reposa, Monique Padia, Tony La Russa, Garrett Padia, Grant Padia, Amy Jacobson and Coby Jacobson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 5-8 PM with a Rosary at 7PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Per Debbie's wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, Pediatric Oncology Department.
