I was stationed with Matt at Altus AFB, OK where we became good friends. At the end of my enlistment, I got out of the Air Force and returned home to Georgia. Matt and I stayed in touch and he later informed me that he would be re-stationed at Robins AFB, GA, which was very close to where I was living at the time. It was great to be able to reconnect with him again. When he left Robins, I lost touch with him. Fast forward a couple of years ago, Matt got on my mind and I felt compelled to try and see if I could find any information on his whereabouts, only to be shocked to find/read his obituary. Just like others who left comments, Matt was a great guy and I felt honored to have known him and to have been his friend. Although this is belated, my thoughts and prayers go out to all his family members.

I first met Matt when he arrived at Warner Robins, GA, the 5th Mob. He seemed pretty reserved at the time, but came out quickly. I'll miss the talks we had, like the one at the last reunion in GA. His passing is a loss to all and any who had met himeven if for a minute. My prayers go out to his wife Dawn, family and friends, he will genuinely be missed.

Matt was so quiet when he first arrived to the Mob. But he soon fit in and will continue to live in our hearts! My prayers are with you and your family.
