Ellen passed away July 4th at the age of 94. She was born in Selma, CA but lived most of her young life in Chico, CA where she went to grade school, college and became a school teacher and part time reporter for the local newspaper. She married in 1946 and moved to San Jose. She lived there and in Santa Clara until the time of her death; first in her own home and then in Valley Village Retirement facility for over 20 years. She was a member of Church of the Valley since 1953. She was predeceased by her husband Chester "Bud" Boyer. She is survived by nieces, Vicki Fulton of Idaho and Holly Arnesen-Sileo of Manhattan Beach, CA. Viewing will be on Friday, July 10th from 3-7PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 11AM at Church of the Valley, 400 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
