Eugene Henry Ferrari

Eugene Ferrari passed away on November 18, 2015 at the age of 90. At the time of his death, Gene was living in Loomis, CA with his daughter and son-in-law. Gene was born on March 30, 1925 in San Jose, CA and was a farmer in South San Jose growing prunes and apricots for 50 years. He also owned a gas station that employed many of his son’s friends over the years. He and his wife were always there to help anyone in need of a home, family, meal, or anything fixed. He was loving father to Debbi Burkholder (Dayton) and Gene Ferrari (Pam); Papa to Matt Wood (Kim), Mike Wood (Ashley); Grandpa to Gina Doan (Justin); Great Papa to Jacob, Everett, Brayden and Jordan Wood and loving uncle to Linda Strawn (Michael), Jeff (Gloria) , Steve (Mary) and Chris Raby (Thelma). Gene was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Joyce, sister Inez, and brother John. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 30th at 11:00 am at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your favorite animal rescue (Paws for Hope is one).
