She moved to California to marry the love of her life. Evelyn was married 53 years to Jose Pavão and raised their family in Sunnyvale, California. Evelyn was a devoted part of St. Martin's Parish congregation in Sunnyvale. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Emily Hidalgo of Sunnyvale and Joann Porter of Sunnyvale, and son Joe Pavão and daughter-in-law Debbie Pavão of Santa Clara along with 6 grandchildren: James & William Hidalgo, Jennifer & Jamie Porter, and Katelyn & Angelina Pavão. She has also left behind many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts whom she loved.
