Gavin Ruggero

With great sadness we announce that Gavin Joseph Ruggero ("Gav" and/or "G") passed away on February 6, 2023 at the young age of 20. Gavin was a loved son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend to many. Gavin was born in San Diego but was raised in the bay area near his close family.

Those who knew Gavin, even if only for a short time, could likely share a story involving him that would make you laugh or share a time when Gavin would just be his goofy self.

Gavin loved sports including wrestling where he achieved 1st place in Santa Clara county in 2015. Gavin's competitive nature always pushed him to be the best he could be no matter what he did. Gavin loved the outdoors including camping, boating, and wakeboarding, which he did almost every summer with his family.

Gavin is survived, and will be missed every day by his mother Jessica Warkentin and her wife Sheila, his father Joseph Ruggero and his wife Paddi, His siblings Marcus Warkentin, Cameron Ruggero, Claire Ruggero and Jasmine, Jessica, Jennifer, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel Guardeno. As well as his loving Aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, and of course all the family animals whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on February 21, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary.
