The daughter of Lawrence and Edith Berti and a lifetime resident of San Jose, Gerry graduated from San Jose High School and attended a year of college at San Jose State University. She was working at Westinghouse Electric when she met her husband, Adolph in 1951. They were married in 1954 and had two daughters. She enjoyed music, the theatre, and traveling to New York and abroad. She loved shoe shopping, going to lunch with the girls, and most of all, spending time with her family and little dog.

As Adolph passed away in March of 2017, Gerry is survived by her two daughters, Julie Tisnado (William) of Belmont and Sandra Filizetti (William Boales) of San Jose, two grandchildren, Jonathan and Andrea Boales of San Jose. She will be greatly missed by all including Matt Kracht and his family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. On February 14, there will be a Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., 580 Jackson St. San Jose, followed by Interment at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St. Santa Clara.

Sandy and Julie,
I am so sorry for your loss. Zia Gerry was a very special lady and will truly be missed. I have very fond memories of her and your Dad and some great laughs.
