Resident of Squaw Valley
July 15, 1925 - Oct. 3 2011
At the age of 86, Gil passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness. A native of San Jose, he had many fond stories of the old days and could recall many interesting facts of all the changes he had seen. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII while stationed in Ketchikan, Alaska. A truck driver most of his adult life, he saw almost every mile of California's highways and knew most every short cut. He loved road trips and being near the ocean, spending part of his retired years on Whidbey Island, Washington. He also loved to dance. Here's to your last dance Dadwe love you.
Survived by his children, Mike and Chele, grandchildren Tania, Bethany, Robbie, and Sammy.
Friends and family are invited to graveside services Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2:30 pm at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St., Santa Clara.
