Gioan Baotixita Pham Bach Truong

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Truong Pham. Truong was born on December 25, 1946, and transitioned out of this life on February 3, 2026. Through his journey of 79 years, he touched many lives with his love of family, hard work, and selflessness.

Truong was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on December 25, 1946. Truong served as First Lieutenant in the Vietnam War, within the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He then emigrated to the United States in 1975 after the fall of Saigon with his wife and son. A few months later they welcomed the birth of their daughter and settled for a few years in upstate New York. They eventually moved again to the midwest to Addison, IL where they spent the majority of the time. The last move was to Northern California after he retired from working at Spraying Systems for over 30 years.

Truong was an avid sports fan and his absolute favorite thing to do is get comfortable on the couch with a tasty snack close by while watching the game. It didn’t matter what team was playing, he was always tuned into the current baseball and football season to watch the games.

Truong loved talking with his neighbors, and was known for his caring nature and laughter. He had a heart of gold, showed generosity and forgiveness to others, and was always ready to help. Just recently, he befriended a family of stray cats and made sure they were fed cooked meals twice a day. It goes to show his huge heart to help those in need. However, if anything, Truong is most notably known for his love for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; his children, Avery and Loan; and his five beloved grandchildren Landon, Leven, Kaylee, Carter and Gemma who were the lights of his life. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

A visitation celebrating Truong’s exceptional life will be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, located at 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050, on February 15, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location on February 15, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
