Gloria Rose Orlando

On September 25, 2020, Gloria Rose Orlando passed away. Gloria was a kind, hard-working soul who was fiercely independent, very disciplined, and loyal to her family and friends. At the time of her death, she was 91 years old.

Gloria was born on December 27, 1928 in San Jose, California, the daughter of William and Josephine Schwartz. After Gloria’s mother died when she was 9 years old, for a while, she lived with her grandmother who Gloria adored her entire life.

In 1949, Gloria married Salvador Orlando to whom she was married for 66 years. Gloria and Sal lived in Santa Clara since 1954. They had three sons: Tim, Mark, and Scott. Gloria was an able homemaker and also worked for the telephone company and JC Penney.

Gloria’s life was enriched by her family who loves her: daughter-in-laws Shelda and Sandy; granddaughters Gina, Kelsey, and Kylie; grandsons Michael and Ryan; great grandsons Dylan and Lucas; and her great granddaughter, Emery.
