Gloria was my Godmother and 1st cousin. and I loved her very much. The duty of a Godmother is to care for her Godson if the Godson’s parents became incapable of caring for their son. This never happened, but if it did, Gloria would have been most capable of raising and caring for me. My favorite of Gloria’s personality traits was her fiestiness and her strong opinions. May God rest her soul, as I know she’s now at peace.

Well, Mom, you finally got your wish. Good day for you, not good for the rest of us. We’re so proud of you. Rest in peace. You’ve earned it.

Love, Tim

I was lucky to call Gloria my honorary Grandmother. She would spoil me, just like I was one of her own, with generous gifts, delicious food and her sassy wit. She may have been small in stature but she was larger than life. She wasn't affraid of telling it like it was and I truly admired her for it. I hope that I have half the tenacity and generocity she had. I will miss her deeply but am comforted knowing that she has been reunited with her sweet Sal.
