

Harald Franklin Craig passed away on 6/24/2024 in San Jose, California, at the age of 93. He was born on 10/27/1930 in Lima, Ohio to Harald F. Craig, Sr. and Bessie M. (Rose) Craig, one of three children, predeceased by his sister Helen and brother Bobby.
He earned his bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University in 1955. He served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. He was a Senior Partner at Brown, Baker, Schlageter, and Craig, in private practice until he retired from the firm in 1997.
Mr. Craig is survived by his spouse, Kaarina M. (Kettunen, M.D.) Craig; daughter Anne M. Escherich; grandson and his spouse Mason C. Escherich and Amira E. Escherich, and great-grandson Parker R. Escherich; and grandson Andrew C. Craig. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Harald F. Craig III, the father of Andrew C. Craig.
He enjoyed sports, was a lifelong OSU Buckeye football fan, and enjoyed world travel and exploring different cultures. His family was always a priority in his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
