Adventurous to the core, Henry lived a long and fantastic life. From canoeing down the Amazon River to taking a six-week road trip to Nova Scotia, nothing was impossible.
He touched many lives with his kindness and his endless tales of life lessons. His gentle smile, laughter, and hugs brought much joy to our family. He gave us all such love and reminded us that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Henry loved to dance and tell stories of his childhood. He could spend hours listening to his favorite music while making his oatmeal, reading his Mayan dictionaries, or while flipping through his photo albums.
Most of all, he enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Henry would show Katalina and Gaston the best way to pick from his lemon and orange trees, watch little Richard play hockey, and Alexis figure skate at the local ice rink, and play with Hallie and Hannah when he visited Texas. We know he will forever live in our hearts.
Henry is survived by his children and their spouses, Veronica and Bruno, Henry Keith and Isabel, and Jennifer and Richard. His grandchildren; Katalina, Gaston, Richard Alexander, Alexis, Hallie, and Hannah; brother Luis Ponce; and special companion Berta Carter.
