

Javier S. Andueza passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2015. He was born on November 23, 1979 in Santa Clara, California. Javier graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School and was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. He continued his baseball career at West Valley Community College. He then attended California Culinary Academy in San Francisco where he earned a degree in baking and pastry arts. After several years in the pastry industry, he started his gardening business where he successfully worked for many years. He continued to be active in sports and was a lifelong fan of all the bay area sports teams. Javier is survived by his parents Lucille and Francisco Andueza as well as his siblings Michael and Elisa (Clint) Hopwood, niece and nephew Shelby and Alex Hopwood. He is survived by his grandmother Marie Elu and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Louis Elu and grandparents Melchora and Sebastian Andueza. Javi was the most loyal son, brother, tio, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many. Funeral services will be Wednesday Jan. 6, 2015 at 11 am at Lima Mortuary Santa Clara 466 N. Winchester Blvd. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
