She grew up in Hayward, CA and then moved to Fremont, CA with her loving husband Gale, where they bought their first home and started a family. They loved each other dearly and were married for over 60 years. She is survived by her sons, Kevin and Kurt, their wives Nadya and Michelle, and grandson Tyler.
She attended San Jose State University and finished her career in the human resources department at Ohlone College.
In retirement, Joann and Gale moved to Sun City West, AZ where they lived life to the fullest. She learned to play golf, developed wonderful friendships with so many amazing people, and traveled the world with family and friends.
She lived a long, exciting, and wonderful life, filled with a loving family and many friends. She will be missed.
